6.1 Office Procedures

This course is a guide on how to carry out administrative and management tasks in an office environment.
It includes assistance on how you might implement some efficiencies to the office for your current role or for a future role and it gives an oversight of the changing landscape within an office using technology.

This course will cover: 

  • General Housekeeping including a brief overview of Health & Safety obligations.

  • Organisational types - charts & structures, job descriptions and company culture.

  • Manuals (an overview) - Operational/Procedures, Health & Safety, SOP's & COP's.

  • Introduction to Lean Principles in an Office environment.

  • Filing - paper based, digital/cloud, email, web. 

  • Task & Email management - the basics, digital & collaboration.

  • Timesheets - manual & digital.

  • Meeting management & digital collaboration.

  • Introduction to Customer Relationship Management & Appointment booking software.

  • Helpful hints.

From this course, you will take away a workbook with everything you have learnt in it and examples so you can carry on your practice once the course is complete. There is also some optional extension work within the workbook for at home, for those who really want to push themselves.

You will also receive a course completion certificate.
